#80 • Vintage Metal Bell-Shaped Open Vessel Rounded Base Aged Green Verdigris Patina 4.5"

Part of Uptown Auctions October-November Online Auction (timed auction by Uptown Online Auctions)

High bid $6.00

Status: Sold

Interesting vintage metal object with an open, flared rim, tapered body, rounded/convex bottom, and beautiful aged green verdigris patina. The piece measures approximately 4½" tall. The rounded bottom prevents it from standing upright on its own. There is no clapper or ball inside. Because of its unusual form, it may have been intended as a bell or bell-shaped vessel, but its exact original purpose is unknown. The surface shows natural aging, oxidation, scratches, discoloration, and extensive green patina consistent with age.
