A vintage 2-piece African ethnographic tribal art collection. Metal stand not included. Included Items: Beaded Gourd Vessel: Hand-crafted leather-wrapped container embellished with vertical strands of glass seed beads and natural cowrie shells. Includes a leather shoulder strap. Measures approx. 7" H. Carved Coconut Shell Mask: Hand-carved coconut shell face featuring circular geometric incised patterns, framed with a thick woven raffia/fiber mane. Measures approx. 9" H (including fiber border). Condition: Gourd Vessel: Beads and cowrie shells remain intact. The natural leather strap exhibits vintage dry rot / flaking when handled and should be treated with care. Mask: Good vintage condition with authentic surface patina and intact raffia border. Items show authentic vintage storage odor consistent with age and long-term storage; untreated to preserve original natural fibers.
